About Us
Leasowe Community Homes was set up in 1999 and is a subsidiary of the Arena Housing Group.  It manages just under 1000 homes in Leasowe, previously in Wirral Borough Council's care.  The unique solution to set up a non-profit making local housing company – the first of its kind in the north west – ensured that residents of Leasowe retained their own identity while enjoying the security and support offered by Arena.

In April 2011, LCH took over management of 355 Arena owned properties in Wirral. This was a decision made by both Arena and the Wirral residents as LCH is based in Wirral, has a ten-year relationship with the Council and other Wirral-based partners so can therefore offer a more local service to these residents.

Community participation is a key factor in the success of Leasowe.  The Chair of the Board of LCH, Jim Murphy, is a tenant and is supported on the Board by three other Leaowe residents, one of which is one of our local Councillors.

The Arena Housing Group is now one of the largest housing groups in the country and is generally recognised among the best social housing landlords in the North.  It manages more than 14,000 homes, predominantly in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate.
