Leasowe Community Homes (LCH) was set up in 1999 as a subsidiary of Arena Housing Association to take over the management of 1,100 homes in Leasowe from Wirral Borough Council. The unique solution to set up the non-profit making Local Housing Company - the first of its kind in the North West - ensured the residents of Leasowe retained their own identity, while enjoying the security and support offered by Arena.
Leasowe Community Homes successfully completed its five year improvement programme which provided double glazing, central heating, new kitchens and bathrooms, energy efficiency measures and electrical upgrades to its properties to exceed decent homes standard. Work commenced on the refurbishment of the shopping parade in Twickenham Drive and an environmental programme to create additional off-street parking for residents.
LCH is located in Leasowe Millennium Centre and provides a variety of services including lettings, tenancy management, rent collection and reporting of repairs. We have recently introduced a warden / handyperson scheme for minor works which is available to all residents at a competitive price.
